Ancelotti Deal Agreed?

Talk of the new Chelsea manager seems to be gathering pace with the already written off Ancelotti hotly tipped to be prised away from AC Milan. Despite Milan previously having refused us permission to talk to the man in question, the latest reports this evening suggest we are in talks with Ancelotti’s representatives and have agreed a deal with them. Ancelotti himself is not believed to be part of these talks and Milan continue to say they don’t want to lose him, although Roman’s millions could have the final say in this one.

Obviously, with this rumour already doing the rounds, it’s collecting a few add-ons along the way. Notably, the one where Zola and Clarke could be teaming up with the current Rossoneri boss when (or if) he arrives at Stamford Bridge or more predictably, Ancelotti will bring Kaka to Chelsea with him. The stuff that dreams are made of or what?!

More believable though, is that Mark Hughes looks almost certain to be revealed as Man City’s new manager within 24 hours – and if we don’t get Ancelotti, then we may well have shot ourselves in the foot again!

  1. Its about time the Goons upstairs start listening to the fans.

Hughes was……..Is ideal for the job. He’s been there and done it as a player. He has the respect in football to bring top names to Chelsea and keep them in line. He supported Chelsea as a boy and having played for the club it would have at least mended some bridges with the fans after the last balls up we had appointing a manager. The fact that he’s English is the reason he’s not being seriously considered for the job. Rijkaard and Mancini who were “hot” favourites at one stage who both played around the same time as Hughes. What makes them so special?

Ancelotti may have a great CV, but if we really want to be making a statement in football we need to go back to basics and bring in someone who knows the club and will have the fans on their side.
