Inter Milan Getting Desperate For Lampard?

Whilst the Frank Lampard saga continues to drag itself on longer than a bad plotline in Eastenders, the latest addition to the story sees Inter continue their desperate bid for the midfielder. With Lampard looking less likely to remain at Chelsea by the day, Inter are rumoured to be ready to offer a player plus cash deal in order to secure Mourinho’s blue-eyed boy.
Despite Scolari stating a clear intention to keep Lampard, with the player continuing to decline the £140,000 a week he’d obviously struggle to live on, the Chelsea manager looks to be fighting a losing battle. How Lampard’s managed on his meagre salary this far is anyone’s guess but having tired of scraping to make ends meet he’s clearly only doing what anyone in such dire financial straits would do in seeking a more secure future for himself.
But whilst the one-time Chelsea devotee hides himself away from the current media circus, clearly the victim in all this with such a ruthless contract offer from his stingy employers, his former boss continues to play the knight in shining armour with one rescue attempt after another. In fact, such is his desire to make Frank happy again that Mourinho has had a word with those at the top and they’ve come up with the very generous offer of £12million plus Adriano in exchange for the release of Chelsea’s captor.
Now I don’t know about anyone else, but surely the offer of a player who’s been such a resounding success for Inter they decided to let Fiorentina, Parma and Sao Paulo ‘borrow’ him, has to be too good to refuse? Personally, I’d just take the £12million and save on Adriano’s beer money.

Who needs Adriano btw….
If they give Adriano, we’ll should teach them a lesson by giving them Pizzaro, Malouda and Anelka for free.
Adrianos finished imo.
We were linked to him about 4-5 years ago in a 30million deal, I was glad then we didnt get him.
Abo s stubborness may cost Chelsea, or him, £16m, but the real cost will be having a non-committed player in your squad biding his time to sign on a Bosman free in January.
As an Arsenal fan we thought it was the end of the world when Vieira and then Henry left, but both sales proved well timed, with more than adequate replacements found.
Chelsea s problem is that Lampard,at 30, is just the type of player(eg Shev) that Abo would willingly pay around £30m for at that ripe age.
Difference between Wenger and Chelsea is that Wenger knows how to replace our ageing stars with even better replacements, and would never go for the likes of Deco, who simply lacks the speed of movement that is critical to the quality of football demanded by our manager and fans.
Laporte may be mischievous and desperate in criticising Deco s contribution , but there is truth in what he says, and if Deco lacks the movement for the relatively static Spanish league, he certainly will in England.
Fact is you’re losing one and probably two of the spine of your team, and even if you hang on to them, I would argue they are already lost ( motivationally). Ditto Adebayor and Hleb at Arsenal.
