Chelsea: What ‘World Exclusive’?

So there we have it, the Chelsea ‘World Exclusive’ is….Frank bloody Lampard???
Seriously, is this man’s ego not big enough already that the club have to announce his signing of a contract as a ‘World Exclusive’?
Here we all are sitting expectantly to hear news of a new signing – something really big – and we’re told Lampard’s agreed to overcome his two year fear of ink and be paid an obscene amount of money for the pleasure. So after saying nothing to end speculation for weeks, making sure he’d got as much of the summer limelight as possible while the supporters were left waiting. And Chelsea reward him by making a big song and dance about it when he finally gets the five-year contract he’d been after all along?
Oh well, I guess it boosted Chelsea TV subscriptions!

so what lampards signed, world exclusive my arse, im a true blue and was expecting robhino or even kaka. think robhino is using us for increase at madrid. feel we need hunteelar or villa or even benzema just to be more clinical.
It’s a world exclusive because it was announced exclusively before anyone else in the world. What part of that don’t you get?
Sky’s website has gone into overload and won’t deliver their page on it. That’s because everyone in the world is interested in what happens at Chelsea with their best player. If you don’t get it, it says something about you.
Frank’s the most important player in this country and if you don’t appreciate the significance of his signing I hope you’ll begin to understand when he’s holding the PL trophy at the end of the season. Because today mean’s we’ve just won the title back. Seriously. That’s how big this news is.
‘The most important player in this country’ - are you sure squiddy? He aint even the most important player at Chelsea, although the club bigging him up and making a proper show of themselves with all this pantomime stuff over a contract extension won’t exactly do much to keeo his ego in check.
Today doesnt mean anything in respect of the title - there’s a lot more to Chelsea than one midfielder.
Yes, I’m sure. I’m unequivocably positive. He’s pivotal on and off the pitch, attacking and defending. He’s the difference.
