Chelsea To Offer Record Fee For Wolves Youngster?
The Chelsea Academy is rapidly accommodating some of the finest talent around and reports suggest they’re trying to add 15-year-old Zele Ismail to the ranks.
Ismail, of Macedonian descent, moved to the Midlands at the age of two and is expected to represent England in the coming years. Currently with Wolves, he was named player of the Milk Cup youth tournament and scored a brace in a youth match against Arsenal, where the majority of those playing were at least two years older. Clearly this has brought the attention of top flight scouts and Chelsea are rumoured to be ready to offer £2million for the youngster nicknamed the ‘new Theo Walcott’. I wonder what the ‘old The Walcott’ makes of that?
Ismail is under currently under contract and if Wolves do decide to sell, the suggestion is that they are likely to hold out for higher fee for such an exciting prospect. However, Chelsea are reportedly ‘determined’ to sign the youngster, which could see them part with a record fee for a player of his age.
Of course for Chelsea, if they add Ismail to their youth set up, this would also mean another home grown player as far as Uefa are concerned, so in years to come, could be well worth the outlay now.
So with Chelsea continuing to seek to invest in the best young players around, I guess it’s a question of how much Ismail is worth to Wolves?

I think it’s safe to say he’s worth far more than £2mil to us. The boy really has something special, he’s lightning fast, strong and intelligent, not to mention his keen eye for goal.
Wolves are a club on the up and we need to bring players like him through our ranks to sustain our growing success. Chelsea can take a running jump as far as I’m concerned or come back after he’s had a few seasons in the 1st team when they can pay us £15mil for him.
Walcott went for £5mil plus add-ons (totalling £12.5mil) at the age of 16 so why should Wolves receive any less for a player with equal potential?
I hate all this media speculation, trying to unsettle young players by talking up moves to big clubs. If Chelsea had a decent scouting system they’d find their own youth players instead of trying to steal everyone else’s.
I think you will find that Wolves will not be selling Ismail to Chelsea or indeed anyone else. Wolves have changed their policies and their philosophies under new chairman and owner Steve Morgan and the future is to build a squad with young players and not rely as has been past policies on has-beens, near-end-of-career players or those who say they want to play for WWFC but really mean they are looking for a big payday.
Ismail is part of Wolves future and Chelsea with all their money can offer what they like but clubs do not have to sell if they do not wish to and Wolves do not have to sell!
Chelsea can look elsewhere for young talent but not at Wolves FC!
Sorry Chelsea, no sale! we dont need the money we already have a very wealthy backer and have plans to grow and expand 2 million or even 5 million doesnt mean anything to us!
Regards
Wolf
the question is how much do Wolves need the £2million ?
the answer is Wolves don’t need the £2million.
like everyone has said-Chelsea can go and put their £2 million were the sun does’nt shine, we don’t have to sell.
