Michael Ballack has won his first award this season.

The Chelsea midfielder has looked pretty decent so far this term and this has not gone unrecognised, with him being voted Germany’s ‘sexiest player’. Not the worst honour a player can earn I guess although maybe a little less flattering that it was voted for by German ladies over 60 when asked to name their nation’s most fanciable star.

Unfortunately for Ballack, the under-30’s polled opted for Bayern Munich’s Lukas Podolski.
