Could Drogba Change His Mind…..Again?

I know, I know, it’s so unusual to see Didier Drogba hit the headlines, but this time, the Ivorian hasn’t put himself there. Instead, it’s our old pals, Real Madrid, who are being linked with a January move for the Chelsea striker.

With Ruud van Nistelrooy expected to be out for 6 to 9 months following knee surgery this week, and questions raised regarding the Dutchman’s long term future, Real are on the lookout for likely replacements. Naturally, given Drogba’s much publicised tendencies to change his mind when it comes to his own future, the Spanish club are rumoured to be sniffing round.

So, with the less than enthusiastic looking Drogba facing a ban which will see him fall even further behind Nicolas Anelka in the coming weeks, and Real usually about as subtle as a brick when they have a player in their sights, we can expect to read a lot more about this one between now and the New Year.
