With Ben Sahar not considered ready for Premier League football by Portsmouth who have decided not to extend his loan, and the 19 year old due to return to Chelsea in January, there didn’t look much hope that he’d be kicking a ball for the remainder of the season.

However, it sounds as if he could have the option of a return to Championship football at least, because Neil Warnock would happily take him to Crystal Palace. Sahar has previously spent time on loan with both QPR and Sheffield Wednesday and Warnock, who was impressed with what he saw, says “We know Sahar is not playing at Portsmouth, he is someone we’ve asked about.”
