Alex: Abramovich Too Close To The Touchline?

Despite denials from Ray Wilkins about any transfer request from Alex, the quotes from our wantaway defender just keep on coming. And maybe the reason none of the ‘little men’ at Chelsea got to see the request is because the £10million rated Brazilian took the official request straight to the top?
Because having apparently not received the response he wanted once he’d ‘told’ Chelsea he wanted to leave, Alex is now quoted as saying Abramovich himself has got involved.
Whilst mentally throwing belongings into his case, Alex suggests “I think I will be allowed to leave in January. Mr Abramovich called after he heard that I wanted to leave. I have a meeting between Christmas and new year with Mr Abramovich.”
If this is indeed true, I don’t know why Roman doesn’t just throw his tracksuit on, get himself in the dugout every weekend and be done with it.

Chelsea News 24/7

I think this story lacks any foundation. Considering Abramovich only spends abot 23 days a year in the UK, your asumption does not have credibilty. Abramovich getting involved is the equivalent of a managing director of global company popping in to make tea for the factory staff – e.g. it wouldn’t happen!
It may be true that Alex wants to leave, but Chelsea have made it clear no transfer request has been received and nor would one be granted unless it suits Chelsea!!
What assumption has no credibility? The article doesn’t make any assumptions. The article quotes Alex talking about a meeting with RA. I don’t know why it’s so hard to believe the owner is involved. It happens with certain high profile team owners in our sports here in the States…
Just because Chelsea have said one thing doesn’t mean they won’t change their mind.
