Scolari Feeling The Pressure?

Surprising what a difference a couple of weeks can make eh?
Because it seems like only five minutes ago Scolari was laughing off the idea of being under pressure and yet here we are with the press suggesting his latest conference has seen him showing signs of feeling the strain.
He still seems fairly relaxed to me when he says of our recent form “We are in second and need to win, but it is not only me. Do you know how many coaches are out this season? OK, there are big expectations at this club, but are we in bad condition now? Maybe you look and see Chelsea have lost many points at Stamford Bridge. Yes, but away we have won all the games.” Although he seems oblivious to the fact that these away games haven’t exactly been against the highest calibre of opposition.
Mind you, on any ‘pressure’ to win things this season, the Chelsea boss acknowledges “It is important for me to win something this season. Maybe it is more important for me than for Chelsea because it is my first time in England and I want to win some competition. Not one, I want to win two, three or four, but maybe I won’t win any. I don’t know what the consequence of that will be.” Unfortunately it appears no-one’s pointed out that four aren’t available as far as we’re concerned this season.
Does he sound stressed though? Well obviously not stressed enough because with Chelsea drawing Juventus in the Champions League and Ranieri’s comments about failure being a ‘disaster’ still ringing in Scolari’s ears, the press want to know whether he thinks Ranieri really understands the point. “Yes, very well” Scolari suggests. “Now he plays against Chelsea and if he lights some fires, maybe it is better for him. These are words for pressure. We need to play.”
But is he bothered though?

Scolari musn’t be sacked. We need someone like Robinho at the club, and Phil must be given the funds to buy a player or two in January. He can’t be given the boot.
