As if recent rumours of Alex’s transfer request and Inter’s interest didn’t raise enough question marks about his future, then Michael Mancienne’s return from loan and the latest rumours are definitely making it look as if it’s only a matter of time before the Brazilian leaves Stamford Bridge.

Because, as often seems to be the case, once one club has their eye on a player, just like buses it’s never long before another couple come along. So, having already heard how both Panathinaikos and PSV Eindhoven have considered bids during the transfer window, recent rumours suggesting AC Milan are now planning a £10million bid for the central defender don’t really come as any great surprise.

And again, no surprise are the rumours that Scolari’s already got another Brazilian in mind to step in if Alex gets his move. Because if what we’re hearing is true, Brazilian is earmarking Kleber for the job. Although with him wanted at Middle Eastlands, it’s highly unlikely we’ll be competing for that particular signature.
