Scolari Happy To Be In The Dark?

So, we’ve let Wayne Bridge go to Citeh. I’m not going to complain about his transfer though – and whilst we’d obviously rather not let good players go, if we’re honest, he was just a squad player. So, to get £12million for a squad player is a pretty good bit of business – or at least it would be if Scolari looked like getting any of the money.
No, what stood out for me with Bridge’s transfer is the apparent lack of communication continuing to go on at Stamford Bridge when it comes to players coming and going. It wouldn’t be the first time transfers have taken place at Chelsea with the manager seemingly uninvolved and certainly in Mourinho’s days it caused more than a little ill-feeling. Avram Grant probably let it go over his head a little more easily, but did we really expect the same kind of thing to be going on with Scolari in charge?
And yet, whilst all the negotiations around Bridge’s transfer were going on, Scolari was saying “It’s better you ask Peter, because he knows everything that has happened. I don’t know what happened yesterday, today. If any club wants to buy one of my players, OK, but offer big money because they are good players. If we get a good offer for anyone it will be discussed internally. But if we sell one player, we sell for very good money. If they have a good deal then it’s no problem for me. Wayne is here today, that’s what I know.”
Can you imagine any of the other managers in the top four having no idea what was going on with their players? It just doesn’t seem right to me but maybe even more worrying is that Scolari doesn’t seem all that bothered either.

Chelsea News 24/7

Peter Kenyon is the main and biggest problem. Anyone who watched Madrid yeaterday will tell you that selling Robben was the worst decision made by the chelsea board. When we won the League twice Robben was far our best player. He was injured most of the year when we loose out to Man U. Instead they brought Malouda who i think is not good enough for Aston Villa. They refused to pay 32 million for Robinho yet they spent 30 million on Shevchenko who was 30 years of age.Ballack, Drogba, Malouda, Deco, Anelka, Beletti, Cudicini and Mineiro must all be sold. They are at the end of their playing years, no passion, no energy, no spirit. Bring in Benzema, Adriano, Gourcuff, Lavezzi, Obartan. My drem chelsea team for next season will be
…………….Cech…………….
Bosingwa..Terry…..Carvalho…A. Cole
………………………Essien………………………
………..Gourcuff ……………..Lampard………
J.Cole/lavezzi……….. Benzema ……………..Obertan
Bench
Kameni
Mikel
Kalou
Ivanovic
I agree with Amnos..
And i really dont know where Scolari’s head has been latly. He seems to be losing his passion or is it jus me?
I dont agree with one thing tho.. Ithink Anelka needs to stay. to me hes a really good player who trys hard, I dont know if anyone else thinks that, But i defently agree wiv what you put for next session squad.
I really want Yuri Zhirkov to come to chelsea. hes a great player.
Dan.
JT is right in that we all need to stick together. I have seen the Chels on the road several times this season and they have been awesome. Boro in particular. We won that 5 0 remember ?! The players clearly have a confidence problem playing at home. Something only a good win or two will help to restore. Having said that it would help if we had someone with the ability to change a game in a moment a la Zola. You’d think that would be a role for Joe Cole but he has consistently underperformed this season and did so against Southend. They are League One defenders. Top Premiership players (and he wasn’t the only one) should be able to run rings round them. Instead we have stunning nervoiusness when we get near goal as everyone wants to see the ball passed into the net from 6 yards.
One last thought this time round, I wish Scolari would show more confidence in our young players. Di Santo nearly won the game in the last minute and Mancienne has been called up to the England squad so why isn’t he good enough to play for Chelsea?
