Chelsea No-show At Old Trafford

MANCHESTER UNITED 3-0 CHELSEA

Well, Scolari must’ve worked the lads really hard on them set pieces in training. Great stuff. I mean, to be that careless, unmotivated and totally inept, you’d have to work at it surely?

It’s been a while since we’ve been totally shown up by United but we certainly done it in style yesterday.

I remember wondering at one point whether Drogba had been slung a few quid this season. How bad was he? Can you really play like he did by accident? Not that he was the only one who was utter shite out there though because a search party wouldn’t have found the majority of our players, he was just the only one I noticed laughing every time they cocked up.

I wouldn’t even know where to start with the players performances though. I thought we were going for some sort of record in bookings at one stage seeing as both our home and away one’s are gone but even they slowed down to our pace in the end.

Anyway, back to the players and obviously Didier was useless, did he get taken off though? No of course he didn’t. Why take off the worst player when you’ve got Joe Cole on the pitch? I have to say I was pretty excited about Scolari subbing Deco at half-time until we heard it was through ‘injury’. Funny how he pulled out in the warm-up before our last game against United and did the same halfway through this game as well. Then again, maybe I shouldn’t have been quite so happy to see his exit because firstly, he wasn’t the worst player out there and secondly, we got even worse after he’d gone off. We just totally lost any shape we’d had in the first half.

Bosingwa, blatantly obvious why he was taken off when Ronaldo was making such a mug of him. Mind you, even Belletti seemed to have lost his head when he came on. Such was his embarrassment when Ronaldo decided it was his turn to get the run-around, he resorted to everything but common assault to stop him. Ballack, just looks like a player in semi-retirement these days and Anelka didn’t look like he’d showed up for work either. And for all the praise I’ve ever heaped on Carvalho in the past, the bloke still insists on trying to get his opponents shirts off their backs, how he doesn’t give shedloads of penalties away in a season I’ll never know.

But the list just goes on, that’s the trouble. One or two players having bad days, we might just about cope with but unfortunately, we do it collectively. I think we’ve got this ‘sticking together’ thing a bit arse-about-face. I think the point is meant to be ‘fighting’ together, not surrendering as one.

Why even bother coming out with all the chat before the game, talking it up, if they’re just going to go out there and wave the white flag? We were a bloody shambles. No desire, no passion, no motivation, no imagination and no bloody shots on target! Not one! No creativity whatsoever, and as for an end product, that was about as likely as our title chances are now. Not that our attacking play mattered that much anyway, seeing as our defence was doing its utmost to commit footballing suicide.

I know we’re an ageing squad, I’ve been forced to agree with that already this season, but for fuck sake, they looked like they were all missing persons from the local retirement home. Talk about confused. Do they not know what the goal’s for anymore? Like, basic stuff really I’d have thought – the opposition has the ball near yours – you defend, and if you feel like putting yourself out enough to stride towards theirs, you bloody shoot. Pinging it backwards and forwards between you outside the area doesn’t constitute clinical finishing. I wonder if Scolari mentioned that to them? Come to think of it, I wonder if Scolari mentioned anything to them?

I just don’t get it. We were playing United, the same United who beat us in the Champions League final. We were playing United at Old Trafford and we didn’t even turn up.

And I used to think Avram Grant was bad??

  1. Yesterday was fucking apauling !

I am a new-ish chelsea supporter. And I was fucking apauled by yesterday. It seems we have no passion in our games anymore. Everyones making a fucking mock out of us. Fuck, We got good players YES they are aged but we still have some fucking decent players. and yesterday they seemed to rather play fucking cat and mouse. Cech might aswell of left the fucking goal post and went home.

Yesterday i watched that game, I woke up excited about it. I went in a chatroom and watched yeh.. all these manchester united fans cheering on there team. Only i was the chelsea fan in the dam chatroom! we should of lost 4-0 and im fed up with it. We deserve better then this but we seem to not give a fuck anymore. chelsea are going rapidly down hill this season. and im hopeing it brings itself back up. But i doubt it.

Im fed up with getting up early and ready putting on my chelsea shirt my chelsea scarf drinking from my chelsea glass to watch a chelsea game, when we dont put heart into it? All the mouth they give of about they think we can still win the title, and we are going to play better. Yesterday they screwed up big time.

We even got called Tottenham in disguise.. >.> fucking hell. I love you chelsea, but u dont seem to love the game or ur fans.

  2. I used to think Bobby Campbell and Danny Blanchflower were bad….at least the players had passion…they might have been crap, but they played for the shirt and the manager!
Why can’t I wiggle my nose and bring back the old days when footballers had passion….all we got now is Ballack with dreams of making the German Olympic diving squad, Drogba dreaming of being a real actor instead of a bad actor on the pitch, Ronaldo who wears more expensive make up than my wife and Scolari and Ferguson who could both wear tracksuits with Portaloo on the back as they are both full of shit!
To top it all Gary Neville looked good!!!!!!!

  3. Fully agree wiith everything you say ray

  4. dan is clearly a man u fan taking the piss

  5. You do have an aging side but cannot blame just that, Ryan giggs was the man of the Match at 35, I dont think Big Phil can motavate anyone, not that he should have to you guys should have been like a wounded animal out there after losing the cup final and the League, Come on Chelsea dont let the scouse arsehole into the top 2

  6. Im a utd fan (yes from Manchester before you all start)… and just wanted to make a comment with regards to your team yesterday…

Drogba really looked like he was taking the piss out of you lot… as he was laughin everytime he mis kicked the ball… – I think its time to offload him and Anelka… as i dont think there is too much wrong with your defence and midfield…

I know the defensive errors that came into play yesterday ie Terry ducking the ball prior to Rooney scoring… but i think its up top where your main concerns are… as you could see that Drogba and Anelka really dont like each other…

With regards to Scolari… i really like the fella… he aint a bullshitter and says it how it is… and think you need to keep faith with him…

What ya gotta remember is that he has had his hands tied by Kenyon.

  7. What’s wrong with Chelsea now? Is it their gameplay? Their tactics? Their manager? Their owner?
Who’s the one to be blamed?
Yesterday was a very bad game for them.
    Very disappointing for Chelsea fans.

  8. The only difference between Chelsea and Utd was
they defended well on set pieces. In general play there
was no difference.Ronaldo didn’t destroy Bosingwa as you say.The second goal came because Joe Cole
never coverered Evra when Ronaldo backhealed the
ball and Bosingwa couldn’t block the cross.Giggs was
fantastic and Vidic was also very good, the rest were
average.I don’t think Jose would have been shakin in
his boots.Chelsea badly need a left sided player who
can go past people and deliver a decent cross on the
outside.I don’t mean Joe Cole who cuts in on his right
foot everytime and kills the space. If Chelsea defended
the set pieces and Joe Cole did his job on the cross,
well not a lot else happened. The only other time you saw Rooney was when he was shouting his mouth off.World class my ass.

  9. i am chelsea fan from ethiopia, the problem with chelsea is the manger! there are some problems with some players like drogba and ballack.
but if carfully watch the first of both scholari and drogba share the problems. the midle field was very good at holding possesition but the problem was at the attack b/se drogba had no any moptivation to do his work. he was simply laughing and daving throught the game and simply wasted critical ball such as the one he got from lampared in side the penality and the one he got at the left side inside the penality while he was the last man carelesly throw them to air. scholary problem in the first half was b/se he choose drogba ahead of anelka as a coach he should understand the form and motivation of his players and even he has to motivate them all.
the second half was solely scholari problem! if you look the substities it was very crazy even me with out expriance can’t do that.
he substitute bosinga by belletti and give to ronaldo chrismass gift to enjoy the left wing untill the sub ronaldo was not that much effective. and after the sub of deco chelsea have lost it possesition and if sub is needed at the midlee to add striker it should be ballack.
he sub j.cole while the worst player such as drogba remain in the field and rplace him by desantos who is very kid at the end of the game allow a third goal. if you watch the third goal for me it is vidich not berbatob b/se understanding the inexprience of desantos vidich told berbatob sth may “i will block your marker desantos” as he did and allow berbatob to score.
and in conclusion chelsea failar is purely scholari in ablity to read games and ignorancey of tactics.
    chelsea for ever!

  10. Listen lads you picked up a shower of has beings and the man with the money but no football knowledge expected to walk away with all the silverware in Europe as he is just like most rich people think that all you need is money. Personality looks like he might have being better playing the play station than spending £500 million. Now after what 5 managers and some silverware have you really build an empire of football? The team you had 6 or 7 year ago where better for teamwork than the 11 picked yesterday that made an AVERAGE Man Utd team look good? Now that RA is fed up playing the “play station” you might as well expect to start to feel fall as the New Leeds of the South!
By the way just think of Rafa did not try to help you with trying to wise up Big Phil with Red Nose refs in his pocket you would have got tanked totally (As I told you would happen last week)
The only thing I can say is at least the Chelsea v Millwall derby games will soon brighten up the street of London again!

  13. We were a disgrace, clueless manager, apathetic overpaid players and fucking basic mistakes

  14. Dan – you wouldn’t be the first to get slated for holding your hands up and giving a bit of recognition to the opposition where its due. Its fair enough to have your own opinion irrespective of what fellow supporters think, we know youre a blue.

  15. Thanks Chelsea D ^^
