Chelsea Injuries Again, A Pain In The ….

It might have been a result that finally brought us a bit of relief last night, but it wasn’t without its price as Joe Cole limped off in the second half.

There didn’t look to be much in the challenge that saw Cole go down although whatever he’d done wouldn’t allow him to play on as his knee appeared to give way as soon as he tried to play on.

Cole is due to have scans some time today but until then we remain in the dark, with Ray Wilkins saying about the extent of the damage “We don’t know what that is to be honest. He twisted badly as he went into the air. Whether that’s been generated from his lower back into his knee I don’t know. We’ll assess the situation when we get back in the morning and see where we go.”

Fingers crossed yet again then!
