Mikel Punishment Decided?

John Obi Mikel has been a dick, no arguments there. And the sort of publicity he’s attracted with his drink-driving charge, Chelsea could definitely live without.
I mean, it was inevitable the press would have a field day really – Premier League player, match day, 5.30 in the morning, what the bloody hell did he think he was doing? It’s not like he can’t afford a cab. Anyway, it’s too late, it’s done now…….or is it? Well, obviously not according to the press it’s not.
Unsurprisingly, they’re now second-guessing the Chelsea midfielder’s punishment and seem to have conjured up the sum of £100,000 – or at least that’s how much they reckon Chelsea are thinking about fining Mikel.
So where did they get that amount from, bearing in mind only Monday the club made a statement suggesting they’d wait until they have all the evidence in front of them before they make their minds’ up what to do with the 21 year old? Besides, it’s not as if we’d be running to discuss any sanctions with the press anyway, as Wilkins points out when he says “John Obi recognises the fact he acted irresponsibly. We will deal with that in-house and that is all I’m saying on the matter.”
The fact is, whatever he has coming he deserves but for now he needs to get on with it and at least make sure he behaves himself on the field.

2 weeks wages is standard punishment. Thought you’d know that for all your “years” following the game (3 isn’t it?)
Everybody gets punished 4 any act of indiscipline, mikel should not be an exception. But chelsea should support the lad in any court case bcos he is a vital member of the squad.
Very droll squiddy, fortunately I don’t feel the need to justify my support to you.
