Quaresma Signing Confirmed

TheChelseaBlog reported earlier that Ricardo Quaresma could sign on loan before the end of the day and news just in confirms that the paperwork has indeed been completed and the wide man is on his way to Stamford Bridge.

A statement on the official website confirms:

“Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce that we have signed Inter Milan winger Ricardo Quaresma on loan until the end of the season. The Premier League have confirmed the deal.”

    No, he was left out of the squad for the knock-out stage but he’d already played in the group stage so as far as I’m aware that makes him ineligible.

    I guess he is better than nothing… meaning Kalou & Malouda. Its horrible to see this team struggle to score goals. Where did Anelka disappear to? Hasnt he been stuck on 14 goals for a while now?

    Anelka was scoring freely because we were playing away from home and not against particularly ‘big’ sides, at Stamford Bridge, or against the top sides he’s struggled. So whilst he seemed to rack up the goals earlier on when we had a run of these away games, he probably seems to have hit a barren spell lately because of the sort of games we’ve had.
