Scolari Urges Mike Riley To Look Again

Predictably, yesterday’s post-match interview heard Scolari suggesting he hopes Mike Riley decides to have another look at his sending off of Frank Lampard. Obviously because if he bothers to look at it again, he wouldn’t have a choice but to admit he made a mistake.

I’m not going to go into it again, I really can’t be arsed when it was such a joke, besides, with the exception of Mike Riley there can’t be anyone on the planet who actually thought it was a red anyway.

So, straight to Scolari’s take on it, and the Chelsea boss suggests “I want the referee to look at this on television and maybe change this card for Lampard. When I look at it I see it as a foul by the other player. Maybe when he looks on TV he will change the red card and we will have Lampard for the next game.”

However, when it came to the disgraceful behaviour of Jose Bosingwa, who for some unknown reason saw fit to kick an understandably time conscious Yossi Benayoun square in the back by the corner flag, Scolari says “If the referee decided to send off Bosingwa I would have understood. A red card for this I would accept, but not Lampard’s”.

Quite right too.

  1. Lampard surely was unlucky, but in return Bosingwa will be banned

  2. at least that’s justice, too late but justice anyway.

  3. It is very disappointing that just 1 person Decision can make life hard for others. To start with, im not a chelsea fan, im manu,to be honest,Frank do not deserve a red card,i wonder what was going on in Mike(REF)’S mind, to me i think Mike is in another frame of mind.He simply spoil the day and the game,i think he needs to go back to the academy or resit REF’S EXAMS.
I can say he really dont like Frank.

  4. He should not be allowed to ref in world cup or in any big game,or else you day will be spolit.IT IS AS SIMPLY AS THAT.
