Essien On Way Back
Posted on February 12th, 2009 by Chelsea D

It seems a bloody eternity since we last saw Michael Essien running about in a Chelsea shirt – mind you, it was September that we saw him withdraw long-term following the cruciate ligament injury he suffered on international duty.
And we’ve waited patiently for news of his return ever since.
So, it’s pretty good news to hear that our missing midfielder has finally taken part in his first group training session since September. Ok, it was non-contact stuff and he hasn’t returned to full training yet – which is why I said it was ‘good’ news rather than ‘great’ news.
Still, we’re told he should be back by the middle of next month as previously suggested – so that is great news.

We need Mike. Perhaps his return can spark a little motivation.
Essien surely will be an added advantage, but it will not be wise to rush him into playing. We really have missed him,his energetic runs from the midfield, his powerful banana shot(against arsenal at stamford bridge).WELCOME BACK MICHAEL ! WE REALLY MISSED YOU !
