I guess like everyone else I was reading about Florent Malouda’s threat to quit Chelsea for Juventus in the summer if he doesn’t get enough chances to play under Guus Hiddink.

We all know he’s never been good enough really and the links with other clubs keep coming, so it wouldn’t exactly be a surprise to see him move on. However, there’s something a little odd about this being put down to a lack of opportunities from our temporary boss.

You see, Malouda has said “There are four more months for me to get in the team. If that doesn’t happen then I will analyse the situation.” And as we all know, there aren’t four months of the season left, so either Malouda has no idea how long a season lasts in the Premier League, or the press have dragged out an old quote.

No prizes for guessing which one of those it is.
