Carvalho Learning From Past Mistakes?

Ricardo Carvalho returned for 60 minutes of a reserve game on Monday after a spell of five weeks out. The Chelsea defender seems to have spent most of the season on the sidelines, with each injury seemingly followed much too quickly by another one.

With us all eagerly awaiting yet another return of our Portuguese centre-back, he seems to be pointing at the previous regime when it comes to explaining his prolonged absence, saying “My rehab was much better than the previous one when we did some mistakes.  I came back a little too early and in the training I broke down, so after that it takes twice the time it should.”

However, the good news is that these mistakes don’t seem to have been repeated, with Carvalho suggesting “This time we did things properly. This time I am feeling stronger and the muscle is ok so next week I will start to play for the first team.”
