Let’s be honest, how many of us expected Deco to want to stay once Scolari went? He was blatantly favoured by our ex-boss, no matter how he played – and he’s definitely struggled to do that since his first few games for us. And now, with Luiz Felipe Scolari dispensed with, rumour has it he could make a £6million move to Juventus in the summer.

The suggestion is that with Pavel Nedved ready to hang up his boots at the end of the season, another former Chelsea boss – this time Claudio Ranieri – is looking to the Portuguese playmaker as a replacement.

Wouldn’t come as any great surprise would it?
