Makelele Returning To Chelsea?

Is the rumour about us having words with Claude Makelele about a return to Chelsea serious?

I was reading somewhere yesterday that the club have realised how big a miss his ‘leadership and influence’ is, so they’ve asked him to come back at the end of the season.

Now don’t get me wrong, I always loved Maka at Chelsea and certainly rated him as one of our most influential players during his time with us but surely his days of actually playing for Chelsea are behind him now?

Of course, there was always the idea of him staying on at Chelsea in some kind of coaching role before his move to PSG so maybe that’s what’s prompted the invite to return?

I’d definitely welcome that.

    Don’t think he’d be up to playing for us now, as great as he was. Would be a really great coach though.

    Yes, that’s true…His last year playing with us had me scared a few times when he dwindled on the ball and almost lost possession a couple of times, but if he did join the coaching staff we might be able to see Mikel evolve as a defensive midfielder..
