Robinho Adding Some Humour Before The Game?

Robinho’s a joker ain’t he?
First the bloke comes out with all his waffle about Chelsea being in his heart, then he moves to Manchester’s second club – remaining confused about where it is he actually is – and after what has got to be a pretty disappointing career move for the Brazilian, he’s still spouting off about City’s potential.
Worse still, with City coming to Stamford Bridge tomorrow, he’s got the front to try and draw comparisons between where City are now and the Chelsea of four years ago.
The comedian says ”We are a very ambitious club and many people underestimate us. We may not be the biggest club yet, but let’s not forget what Chelsea was four years ago. We can do as well as they’ve been doing in recent years. Manchester City is after big things, we want to be up there and maybe win the Champions League one day.”
Is this bloke serious? How exactly are they underestimated? What is it he thinks City’s got that the rest of us haven’t seen this season? And as for four years ago, well four years ago Chelsea were already winning silverware and about to take the first of their back-to-back titles, is this mug honestly trying to say that’s what City will be doing this year?
I mean, how is his comparison even valid? Because apart from the fact that City inherited a shitload of money, are there really any other comparisons between us? Have they been getting themselves into cup finals or the top four lately? Do they look like they’ll finish in a Champions League place this season? No of course they bloody don’t.
Still, if Robinho wants to live in his own little dream world where Man City rule all, then fair play and he certainly talks up his commitment to the cause, suggesting ”I’m very pleased the way things have gone so far. All I want to do now is help the club, from the bottom of my heart, I really want the club to go far. I know there is pressure, but I play for Brazil and I am used to that, I want to repay the supporters and the club for their trust.”
Only trouble is, when he goes on “Every player wants to play for a big club like Chelsea but I’m a Manchester City player hoping that one day we can rival clubs like Chelsea”, City supporters shouldn’t hold their breath that he’ll be around Eastlands to see their ‘success’.
