Deco In A Rush To Get Back - For Portugal

Funny what motivates some players eh?
Deco’s had several spells out injured since he’s been at Chelsea and as far as I could see, has never been in any great hurry to get himself back. We’ve even had him whingeing about how hard he’s struggled to get himself back to full fitness for us.
So here’s the funny thing – whilst we were imagining he might be ready to make a return for us after the international break following his latest spell out injured, this time he’s apparently thrown himself into an intensive rehabilitation programme in a desperate effort to play for his country.
The Chelsea midfielder says “Being part of the national team is always a pleasure and I hope I will play. But it depends on the way my body will react this week. I am doing an intensive work to accelerate my recovery. I feel good, but it’s very difficult to assess a muscle injury. Winning this match is vital to us.”
Doesn’t take a genius to work out where his loyalty lies does it?

“I am doing an intensive work to accelerate my recovery”.
What’s wrong with that?
Should we assume the writer would prefer the player to say he’s in no rush to get back playting? A worthless article.
well that is true word to word if he can work that hard to play for his country that he plays for once in two to three months why can he not do the same for chelsea where he is suppose to be playing atleast every weak if he dose not want to work for his club like for his country then he should be made to leave the club or work hard to remain.
tony kings - my point exactly. He’s never come out said he’s working his arse off even once this season for us, the minute the internationals come round he’s throwing himself into ‘intensive rehab’.
Deco has been known as one of the hardest working players in all of Europe. He has been unfortunate for a couple of injuries he has had. Folks that never played the game or any sport for that matter are usually the most critical ones. It is very depressing to suffer an injury when you are a professional athlete and there is nothing more motivating than playing for your Country, where your people love you, to get you back into the game again…
All of Chelse should be happy that Deco is trying so hard to get into the game again not matter what the motivation is…when the fever is in your blood you want nothing else than play again…Deco has fever.
Be happy Chelse fans…
