Rumours of Petr Cech moving to Barcelona might only have been rubbished by his agent last month but that hasn’t stopped them resurfacing. Because yesterday, amid reports that Victor Valdes is likely to be on his way out of the Nou Camp in the summer, the press decided Cech was the likely replacement.

Mind you, when the only thing they have to go on is Cech’s quote from two years ago, when he said “Can I imagine staying in England? That I cannot answer. So far I have been very happy at Chelsea and I have started to love the Premier League. I have got used to life in London and my wife and I like it,” as the only hint he’d consider it, I wouldn’t get too panicked about it happening.
