Shearer, Not Wise To Face Chelsea

Bloody typical eh?

Newcastle looking like they haven’t got a cat in hell’s chance of staying up this season, I finally feel optimistic about us getting a fairly comfortable result and they go and put Shearer in charge!

Of course, I realise miracles don’t usually happen overnight but we all know how things can go in the honeymoon period and that’s without having their Messiah running the show. And whilst I know coaching badges and an iconic status by no means qualify any ex-player to manage a club, nevermind rescue them from Championship football, it’d be just our bloody luck for him to have a dream start at our expense. Would it be worth it though just to have a giggle at them fooling themselves into believing they have yet another saviour at the helm? Almost.

And as for the Geordies themselves, they really must think all their birthdays have come at once because not only have they finally got their idol managing them (until the end of the season at least), they’ve even got rid of Dennis Wise into the bargain.

  1. I think it’s going to be a close game…Newcastle do pretty well when they get a new manager in there…Look under Keegan, Allardyce, Kinnear…

  2. Funny this as you also got a few wins after a new manager this season!
Alan (I am still afraid of Roy Keane) is the 4th Newcastle manager this season maybe he will be a lucky manager for the Toon.
Think a draw will be the outcome as I rate Shearer as useless as ashtray on motorbike but the Toon players will respond to the fans!
Only good is that the prat is off Match of the Day!! I think that they should get Roy Keane to replace him now that would be funny to listen to that mad F***er comments!!
