Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne has featured a bit more for us this season and duly caught the eye of other Premier League clubs. However, despite Chelsea making it clear he’s going nowhere, that apparently hasn’t stopped Real Madrid keeping an eye on him.

Rumour has it the Spanish club are considering trying to tempt him away from Stamford Bridge in the summer although hopefully will be sent packing in the same way other interested parties already have been.

Mancienne might get a chance to play against Barcelona next week – albeit at left-back – with Ashley Cole suspended for our Champions League.

And the suggestion is that Real will have their spies out again if Mancienne starts that game, even if it’s a case of they can look but not touch right now.
