Whilst Didier Drogba might enjoy surrounding himself in speculation year-in-year-out, Chelsea’s second striker doesn’t seem to follow the Ivorian’s example.

Nicolas Anelka, who established himself as Chelsea’s top scorer a long time ago with Drogba missing through injury, has enjoyed a much more fruitful season under both the departed Luiz Felipe Scolari and Guus Hiddink. And whilst the press might still run the odd story here and there about his possible departure, Anelka’s agent suggests the 29 year old is going nowhere anytime soon. 

Doug Pingisi says “Nicolas will not move from Chelsea, everything is okay there.  Nicolas has two more years on his contract and he is happy at Chelsea.  I have spoken to everybody at Chelsea and they are happy with him so he will be staying.”
