No Chelsea Move For Kaka

So, after all the excitement this evening, it looks as if Kaka will be heading for Real Madrid after all.

Despite Sky Sports News announcing our ‘record bid’ of £73.5million for the Brazilian, Chelsea appear to be clueless as to where Sky got their information and have hastily denied any knowledge of it. In a statement on the club’s official website tonight, Chelsea state “We have never made an offer to AC Milan for Kaka and therefore not one at this extraordinary level.  As a consequence we have not discussed a salary with the player either. Any reports to the contrary are totally untrue.”

I take back everything I said about more money than sense.

  1. Looks like the move for Pato is in full swing though. Just a matter of Milan agreeing to a fee and Chelsea and Pato working out his wages.

ccording to his agent Gilmar Veloz, there is no guarantee Alexandre Pato will stay at the San Siro after Chelsea showed interest in the 19-year-old striker.

“Milan have to decide on Pato’s situation, we are enthusiastic about Chelsea’s interest for the player, but Milan have the final decision,” he said to Repubblica.it. “Pato has a contract with Milan but if the club were to find an agreement with Chelsea we would be open to start negotiations.

“At the moment I cannot give guarantees to the fans that Pato is staying at Milan, the club isn’t mine and only a member of the club’s management can give an answer to that question.”

  2. So you can NOT afford to buy him????
Or would Kaka not be good enought for Chelsea???

  3. It’s just that he isn’t worth that sum of money.

  4. Sham shut up clearly you dont know anything about football rather become a fan of real madrid or man city

  5. Sham - the point was, I wouldn’t have been happy with us paying that sort of money for ANY player. Yes Kaka’s a great player for Milan but you never know how any player will respond to the PL - its a lot tougher than the other leagues in Europe. Not to mention the player’s sudden change of heart about his total commitment to Milan the day before.

Nick - I’d be happy to see Pato come in. Of course, £30million for a 19 year old is silly money but we know all about the sort of prices Milan charge. Good young prospect though.
