No Sweeping Changes At Chelsea As Players Get New Deals?

It looks as if Ancelotti won’t necessarily be having the major clearout predicted after all because no sooner has Michael Ballack sorted a one-year extension to his contract, than the club looks to be ready to offer both Florent Malouda and Alex new deals.

Malouda enjoyed some great form towards the end of the last campaign but his place was rumoured to be under threat by Yuri Zhirkov. However, Zhirkov has recently made it clear that although he’d consider a move to Stamford Bridge, he has no intention of signing for us with some sort of guarantee that he’d be getting regular games. Unfortunately for Zhirkov, things don’t tend to work that way at Chelsea and it looks as if the club may have decided to hang on to Malouda after all, with the French winger stating “We will have a meeting at the beginning of June. Both parties want to carry on. It’s a wonderful experience but just the beginning. I hope in the next years you will see me win many, many trophies.  When you play so many high-profile games you get the experience and confidence that comes with it. I hope to share joy and happiness with the fans.”

Alex, who’s played the majority of games in our central defence over the past season, also looks set to be offered improved terms. The new contract, reported to be worth around £60,000 a week, would see the Brazilian remain at Stamford Bridge until 2013.

  1. We’ll we have a strong enough team, the only thing we lacking is pace

  2. I think we would have won the league last year had Hiddink been in charge all season. If the players react to Ancelloti like they did for Hiddink our current squad is more than capable of competing. I’d like to see a big signing or 2 but with the right motivation we’re right there. Having Joe Cole healthy and a healthy and motivated Drogba could be all that we need.

  3. I think chelsea will end up with nothing in the transfer market and wont win champs league or premier for yet another season runin kaka goes to madrid so does ronaldo ribery to manure villa to barca as eto goes to mancity zirkov to liverpool n pato stays in milan chelsea sign nly sturidge turnbul n adam johnson sheva comes bak to hav a terible season along wid drogba malouda n balack who get new deals n a salary hike to inc the debts of kings road pensioners who i think wil finish 10th in prem leag n get knoked in champs leag by real

  4. why so harsh? We just need villa and quaresma as back up to joey.imagine a villa, anelka, drogba partneship like barca.could be leathal

  5. Thanks for the headache Antonio. Trying to read that was painful. You can dream of Chelsea finishing 10th but it won’t happen. Big transfers will add more to the debt then salary hikes.

  6. Who said i am not a blues i am die hard chelsea fan but i am tired of roman’s pensioner antics n yuri has had no offer frm chelsea as they r lookin 4 ribery who will go to real mad rich or manure. Meanwile barca will make an offer for zirkov n grab him up n chelsea ll be again left with that malouda who has no pace n trickery n only looked beter becoz of hidink n also there wont be any star names maybe we ll sign dzeko n gourcuf but we are stil lakin width we are goin to hav another poor season if we dnt rejuvenate those wide positions if roman has that kind of money then he should bring in dzeko hernanes renato n kerlon n for the wides he should immediately go for zirkov . N also go for santi cazola jesus navas rakitic diego capel valencia Silva lenon ashley young he should also go for benzema r gonzalo higuain (as there wnt be a first team place for him nw dat real r buyin star names to ad to their talent destroyer club) or both n consider selin drogba who is way past his peak wastin chances is the nly thing that is left in him n also dat ego

  7. you fuck antonio

  8. I’m not Ballack’s biggest fan so I would have been alright with him going but I can live with a new contract. I was really going to be disappointed to see Malouda go with his great form at the end of the season so I’m glad we signed him up again. A few of players I would be alright with losing are Carvlho, Deco, Kalou and possibly Anelka (weird to think about it but he didn’t really score in any big games he just put in a bunch of goals in games again poor sides, probably hold off on selling him until the january transfer window though depending on how he plays in the beginning of next year).

  9. I’d love to see Villa at the bridge next season, although I can’t see him joining us as he wants to remain in Spain. I think we should try to sign his team-mate David Silva, who would be cheaper and give us more pace on the wing. Btw Antonio where’s your belief?? YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!! COMMON CHELSEA!!!

  10. He’s far to young to join Chelsea maybe he going to tie the boots for the auld players!!! but to get a game??
Or else he being chatting to Mr Wright-Phillips how to take a rest and get paid loads of money in London??
Must say i like Antonio posting that you will end up 10th next year YES You have a bunch of past it players CHELSEA PENSIONERS

  11. I would like to have david silva in silva as antonio said and there is a player who is called robinho i think when we go for him it will be good for the development of the team and my last idea is this player gatuso we should also go fro him.
