The press seem to be a bit confused as to what’s going on with Man City’s Daniel Sturridge. I know, I know, very unlike the press eh?!

But anyway, whilst The Daily Mail were telling us we’d actually signed the 19 year old on a free transfer, The Guardian are a little more conservative in their guess-work, suggesting we haven’t officially signed him but we’re pretty keen to. And according to The Telegraph, we’re not signing him at all, because Aston Villa are the one’s getting his signature anyway.

Mind you, if City manager Mark Hughes is anything to go by, it’s them that have offered the England under-20 international a deal and now it’s up to him to decide whether or not he wants it.

My guess is the press will get a lot more mileage out of this one before we find out either way.
