Pato’s Enthusiasm For Chelsea Won’t Please Rossoneri

With Kaka all set to leave Milan for Real Madrid, the protests have already started with Rossoneri supporters reported to be camped outside the San Siro. So, they certainly won’t be any happier to hear how “enthusiastic” Alexandre Pato is about our interest in him.

Pato’s agent, Gilmar Veloz says “At the moment, I cannot give any guarantees to the fans that Pato will remain at Milan.  I do not own the club and so only a spokesman for Milan can answer that question.  Milan have to decide Pato’s situation.  We are enthusiastic about Chelsea’s interest in the player, but the final decision is entirely down to Milan.  Pato has a contract with Milan, but if the club reached an agreement with Chelsea, then we would be willing to negotiate.”

Ancelotti apparently wants to bring the 19-year old to Stamford Bridge and reports suggest we’ve offered anywhere between £30-£45million for him (depending where you read it). However, whilst an official statement on the club’s website denies ever having made a bid for Kaka, we seem to be pretty quiet on the Pato front.

    It’s so hard to tell the real transfer stories from the phoney. I get the impression we’ve often been used by players’ agents to help get their clients payrises with their existing clubs.

    Don’t know that much about Pato – anyone know anything about him. He’s quick, right? Play off the wing or more of a striker? think we need more the former….

    This is the type of player we need…young, pacey, and a great finisher. Another great signing would be Ashley Young as well. Hope Ancelotti can bring them to the bridge!

    I had the pleasure of watching him play for the olympic team(Brazil) in a friendly gainst singapore last season and he is incredibly quick, very skilful and has courage and determination….a great buy if it was to happen!
