Chelsea’s New Away Kit For 2009/10

Ok, so it’s not as if we hadn’t already seen the leaked version already but today Chelsea officially unveiled our new away kit for the 2009/10 season.

Modelled here by Messrs Lampard, Terry and Kalou, the shirt boasts a dashing tonal hoop in both dark and new navy, with a rather fetching neon yellow highlight for the adidas stripes. The neon yellow theme is continued on the collar, sleeves and the attractive new collar design which gives a subtle ‘v’ neck.

The Chelsea lion on the back of the neck completes our away look for the new season.

Personally I quite like it. What about you lot though, anyone think it sounds better than it looks?

  1. I like it. I was actually hoping the white kit was going to be the away kit tho.

  2. I like it and blue is best for me I have ever seen

  3. Hmm m better just Black

  4. I love it. Reminds me a bit of the New French Jersey. I think this might be my next kit I purchase.

  5. Looks good and it is a lot better than Newcastle’s new away jersey…which will make them all look like wee honey bees :-)

  6. One of the best kits ever. Infact I am at a loss whether to purchase the short sleeve or long sleeve version. The new collar design is the best I have seen for a very long time.

  7. I have liked the jersey and it would tempt someone to suggest we use it at home as well.It looks nice.

  8. I like it too. Thinks its quite redolent of a Bath Rugby Club strip from a few years back!

  9. For colour blind it not purple and green mixed

Nor is it 3 wasps or 3 goalkeepers tops
However will look great on the beer belly fans or Fat Frank !!!
Its that the reason Terry in front of most of him???

Maybe better than the builder safety vest from last few years.

  10. I take it you will be sell them out of the back of your van Chelsea Delboy !!!!

  11. i like it a lot, better than the new home kits! i thought the 08/09 home kits were very classy, the 09/10 home kits look a bit like they tried to make it futuristic.

  12. Sham,
I have just found out Rangers are playing your beloved Man City in August…if it does not clash with the Champions league….that we are in and you are not;-)
Are you going to go, do you know where Glasgow is?
Should be a test to see where the great city are eh, against a team with only one team for competition?

  13. Jockney/Peter
i would NOT go and see Rangers play City in my own garden !!!!

As both Rangers and City have so much in common both being living in the shadows of better teams and is Glasgow the one with the batted mars bars in the chippy?
And if you think pre-season games are a test then no wonder your head is up your ass.

  14. Sham,
that’s a bit harsh and there was me going to donate you my two tickets as well, as it would be expensive for you eh;-)
I would have arranged someone to meet you and show you in the ground…we are nice people, not bigots and narrow minded morons…sorry it’s only Glasgow Rangers, but a free ticket is a free ticket in my book!
Pre-season games will be a test for you lot…a test to see if you can travel outside England as it will all stop when the season starts:-)
Not sure about mars bars fried, think thats a bit of a story…similar to city getting into the champions league this year! Being a londoner, we have better tastes than fried food and better tastes in soccer too.
Enjoy the summer…I am off to Sweden for the Junior world cup next week!

  15. What drugs are you on “we are nice people not bigots and narrow minded morons ” Glasgow Ranger????
Both Glasgow clubs are supported based on bigotry !! It hardly the football now while i can see Chelsea play the same type of football Power and no skill !!

I have being in Glasgow many times and reckon that you would see a better game of football at wee all weather pitch opposite the Rangers ground.

And this is the 2nd or 3rd time you have said that your off to Sweden AS WE CARE !!
Or one trip as Peter then the next as Jockney???

Just to let you know that my garden would be too big for them to play football in not a London would know what a real large garden is like to own compared to the window box you have with your rented flat!
