Rumours doing the rounds
At this time of year, there aren’t many football stories that aren’t centred around transfer speculation. With this in mind, I thought it would be appropriate to take a look at the Chelsea rumours doing the rounds this week. No matter how ludicrous – let’s cast an eye over the latest speculation.
Chelsea to miss out on Alexander Pato – It seems as though Carlo Ancelotti’s bid to bring the Brazilian teenager to Stamford Bridge has been halted by AC Milan turning down a ‘monster bid’ for the striker. This is according to the club’s vice president Adriano Galliani.
Villa to snub Premier League – Another reported Chelsea target, David Villa, has revealed that he wants to stay in Spain for the time being. The striker says that the Spanish League suits his game, meaning that he will ‘not be moving abroad’.
Chelsea to snap up wonder kid – The Mirror is reporting that Chelsea are favourites to sign Charlton midfielder Jonjo Shelvey for £3m. The 17-year-old England youth international is also being watched by Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham.
Boro keeper to join – Another English player that has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge is Ross Turnbull. The 24-year-old Middlesbrough keeper is highly-rated by Chelsea’s scouts and will boost their ‘home-grown’ quota for next season.
Chelsea interested in Teenage Arshavin – CSKA Moscow wonder-kid Alan Dzagoev could be set for a move to the Premier League this summer and Chelsea are one of the clubs keen on his signature. The 19-year-old
attacking midfielder has built a huge reputation for himself in Russia and Ancelotti could move for him very soon.
So, that’s just about it for the football rumours today. There is time for just one more though, courtesy of the dodgiest football rumours website around.
David Beckham to join Chelsea – The former England captain will join the Blues on loan in November once the MLS has finished according to some reports. This would see him link up with Ancelotti once more after his loan spell at AC Milan last season.
Make of this one what you will!

Chelsea News 24/7

I really hope that something comes of the rumour regarding Chelsea’s interest in CSKA Moscows Alan Dzagoev. This guy has the potential to be a real World star over the next few years. I will never understand how Roman ever let Arshavin slip through the net and join Arsenal (I believe Hiddink talked him out of it), we must not make the same mistake with Dzagoev.
i think we should try to sign pato every waking second until AC Milan fold. he is an outstanding young talent who could serve chelsea very well for years to come.
villa while an amazing striker for spain, is still a good striker for valencia but he doesnt have 50mil pounds worth of flair; i think we would be happy to see him in blue but i dont think he would be the best investment.
i dont know much about Shelvey or Dzagoev but from what ive read and seen clips of, the youngsters could be another long term investment that could help chelsea ensure a future of chanpions.
as far the 24 year old boro keeper, i think chelsea should tread cautiously and be sure that the man they choose to invest in as a back up to cech can fill the czech’s boots.
and finally, i would be very irritated if beckham came to the bridge. as a california native, i have seen this clown show up for the galaxy and disrespect fans and make a mockery of the sport since he came in from spain. he only considers his own agenda, hence leaving man united for the madrid’s cash. and then he quit madrid thinking he could cash in on the coffers of the MLS, when in reality he’s nearly bankrupted the league. and now he’s abandoned the league he promised to build up, so he can make the 2010 worlds cup, F* this guy! and keep him out of the bridge!
I am getting very worried regarding transfers,as it seems all our reported targets are not interested.
Would like to see us get ashley young, pato, sturridge, dzagoev. This will give us quality i youth and serve us for years to come. And also why is bosingwa going and we chasing another right back, its a joke, every summer signing a new right back
Steve,
then you will change manager again then buy more old player.
Golden balls for Chelsea why not ?
He was good and now over the hill perfect for you !!!
Like Deco comments seem he is saying what the rest o us know ” Your just a Toy for a richman to play with”
Maybe thats why your not getting real top names as the player rather play for the top teams than a Rich man Toy.
Sham – bloody expensive toy even for a rich man wouldnt you say? If it really was just a play thing for Abramovich, firstly he’d have got bored and pulled his money out a long time ago and secondly, he wouldnt go to the trouble of winning court cases against press idiots who keep droning on about him leaving every season. The again, using your logic, he probably just enjoys losing money eh?
If you have £50 in your bank account you not piss about with it, but when you as rich as the Abramovich you can play with more expensive toy.
Bored or just want to buy the CL as he did the EPL ???
And he gave away more money to his ex wife than he spent on Chelsea
And of course there is the major spending every year on new Plastic Flags!!!! Or paying off Managers
