Deco Getting Desperate

Ok, so we’re all probably sick and tired of hearing about how miserable Deco is at Chelsea but there’s not much happening on the news front so I thought I might as well acknowledge his latest whinge.

Obviously we should be devastated he wants to leave because he’s clearly made such a huge impact, and we only paid £8million for the privilege of his vast contribution. Ok, to be fair he did have a good enough start to win the Barclays Player of the Month award in his first few weeks with us. Unfortunately though, he couldn’t keep it up and as early as November admitted he was struggling to keep up and it wasn’t long before questions were being asked when he seemed to be competing with Didier Drogba to see who could take the longest to recover from injury. Mind you, his motivation to get back to fitness did appear to improve once the internationals came round – marvelous what a bit of patriotism can do for a dodgy hamstring!

Anyway, enough flattery for now because when it comes to Chelsea, our ageing Portugueser is about as complimentary as our players were of Ovrebo’s Champions League performance. And having already tried the public declaration of love for Jose Mourinho and go to Inter as a way of getting out of Stamford Bridge – and getting no joy yet – Deco’s gone straight for the jugular by making it clear exactly how he feels about Roman Abramovich.

Obviously still a little pissed about Scolari’s sacking, Deco says of Abramovich “Chelsea are kind of his toy. Sometimes Abramovich makes decisions that go over the head of the director of football. The exit of Big Phil was rash.  Chelsea are a special club. If Big Phil was perhaps at Manchester United or Liverpool, they respect the coach and give him time to work. But Chelsea are different.”

So he reckons United and Liverpool would have put up with Scolari does he? For starters, they wouldn’t have given him the job in the first place and with competition what it is in the Premier League these days, they wouldn’t put up with their sides being ‘managed’ like that any more than Abramovich would.

Still, I for one am happy the whingeing little shit is miserable and moaning like a bitch because he’s showing his true colours and with him repeatedly telling us “Honestly, I did not like the experience at Chelsea. I’m looking for another club where I can feel good”, I hope Abramovich kicks his arse all the way down Fulham Broadway.

  1. He has forgotton how Chelsea been conceaded 3 goals within few minutes after Lampard and Drogba been substituted during Chelsea V Bolton last season ended up with 4-3!!..ohh Deco..used to be a gr8 player but I guess since he keeps on mentioning how miserable he is at Chelsea, I’m sure Abramovich will not hesitate to show the exit door…

  2. I think we can all agree that “Deco leaving Chelsea” will not cause us any loss of sleep. I can hardly remember him even arriving at the club to be honest. He did have a great first month but he disappeared quickly afterward. Deco is a shining example of poor purchasing and talent scouting by top brass at the Bridge. It’s not the first time, and this summer will prove that it may not be the last time, that it will happen.

Last year’s Deco is this year’s Pirlo. A creative playmaker who is aging and un-adapted to the English game. A new coach will rightfully want to bring in some familiars, but without selling one of our current middies there will be no room or opportunity to shine for the new faces. Let’s hope we buy a bit more wisely this year?

I firmly believe in Deco’s talent and abilities, and given time I think that he may have found his niche in our squad. Do we really need to blame him for his current state however? Considered a “superstar” at Barca, he was simply a sub (and not frequently) for us. Bad lack and some poor performances (which all players have), combined with some terrible forecasting, purchasing, coaching, and management (Scolari of course) should all be attributed to his public outcry in the media of late.

  3. i say keep him, dress him in a clown suit and make him walk around the pitch on game day he is just a toy after all mr abramovich

  4. To Mikio

I agree with everything you say but his atitude of putting Portugal first and Chelsea second didn’t help!

I don’t think he can go to any first class team in the world who want to compete for everything and be the starting eleven.

If he was that good, INTER would have already signed him. No team competing for the CL want him, Not even ManCity are making an offer now that is saying something!

With regards to his signing, as you said he was a superstar, no one would have expected it to be a bad move. Same with Scolari. I just hope we can use him n a deal were we can get Maicon and then use Bosingwa to get Ribbery.

  5. He can go we won´t miss him.

HH, I think Bosingwa is better than Maicon and we won´t never get Ribery cause he don´t wants to go in Chelsea and Bayern will never sell him

  6. get him the f… out, hes a little crybaby, iand i cant stand people like him…

  7. Like the idea of dressing him up as a clown but after seening the new away shirt somebody has done that already !!

Lund, more tears from John (the doorman friend ) Terry than Deco so you cant stand him then??
As Dopey Drogba has cryed more than anybody in the EPL!! Maybe time for Keenix to be main sponsor !!

  8. he was WORST
