Another New Signing: Daniel Sturridge

Earlier this week, TheChelseaBlog looked at the three players rumoured to be on their way to Stamford Bridge and reports have confirmed today the second of those has signings is now official. After confirmation yesterday of Ross Turnball’s arrival, today brings the news that we’ve officially signed Daniel Sturridge from Man City on a four year contract.

The Under-20 England international, voted City’s Young Player of the Year last season, links up with his new team mates next week for pre-season training.

  1. He was voted Man Citys Young Player of the year, not Boro´s ;)

  2. blur - ha ha, just checking someone was paying attention

  3. I knew Sturridge in Pro Evolution Soccer (PS2 football game). But I have never seen playing.

Wich players will leave Chelsea F.C. this summer?
    Bosingwa? or Obi Mikel maybe?

  4. im really happy we picked up this youngster, but i have to question how much playing time he is going to get. di santo got what, maybe 20 full minutes of playing time last season? i hope we see sturridge playing up front with drogba/anelka or (fingers crossed) pato/aguerro if we can get either of them.
