Chelsea In Outrageous Ribery Bid?

Ok, so the award for most ridiculous story of the day yesterday has to go to the Daily Mail – because according to them, Chelsea are about to offer £70million for Franck Ribery.

Bayern Munich are apparently claiming to have turned a bid down for Ribery already – and the suggestion is it wasn’t from Real Madrid. Still, with both Barcelona and Manchester United both interested as well, the ‘bid’ could have come from anyone.

Bayern have also allegedly suggested they’re putting a deadline of next week on any deals for the 26 year old to be agreed although you’d have to imagine that for £70million Chelsea won’t be in the running….

Or will they?

  1. £70M? how about £50M and Boswinger?

  2. Not as outrageous as you may think!

I’m tipping Wesley Sneijder to be that “marquee signing” that Buck has me wetting his pants with - when’s the last time you heard that man lie, unlike Peter Kenyon?!

  3. WHY SHOULD CHELSEA SPEND SUCH AMOUNT ON RIBERY. USE THAT MONEY AND GET TEVEZ, AND SNEIJDER .

  4. why should cfc sign ribery for 70 he is too espensive

  5. why go for another left-sided midfielder?? we have cole, malouda, and now zhirkov!! we dont need anyone on the left. why is chelsea not going after a straight up striker? Kun Aguero, Pato, Tevez!?! all are young and talented and would be a better INVESTMENT than a 26 year old who doesnt even want to play in england.

PLUS maradona, Aguero’s father-in-law and national team coach, has been in aguero’s ear since last season that if he wanted to be amongst the world’s best players, he should consider a move to Chelsea or Inter…

  6. …i mean ashley…not joe. although joe cole can and has played on the left wing and did a decent enough job.

  7. I agree with the sneijder thing but this article is rubbish and based on rumors as per usual and the fact that troy thinks bruce buck doesn’t lie proves how modern day chelsea fans are clueless. He, together with the other muppets got rid of Jose and oh look, no title since with JT and Lamps still claiming he’s the best they’ve played under! Just compensation pay offs coming out of our ears for grant and big phil. Good work bruce, what an honest credible guy you are. Good luck Carlo, you’ll need it with those back stabbers behind you, Blue forever

  8. I think ribery would be a good buy but not 70 Mill
I am still waiting to no who this marque signing is going to be, Its about time chelsea told the fans whats happening because there is to much saying thay are going to bring in 4-5 players and some going, no one has left 3 players have come in only one could possibly be a first team player at this time which is Zhikov, Stop saying and just do it and do it before the 31st august because season starts 15th aug

  9. why 70 the money is much for ribery and more so ribery want madrid than chelsea so lave him and go for the golding boy saguo aguero

  10. pato
