Galliani ‘Not Interested’ In Chelsea Offer For Pirlo
Posted on August 1st, 2009 by Chelsea D

The latest instalment in the Pirlo saga has seen Milan allegedly turning down a player-plus-cash offer from us.
It was rumoured Chelsea had offered around £8.6million plus Claudio Pizarro and possibly even the loan of Michael Mancienne into the bargain.
However, news from the San Siro seems to be that Milan general manager Adriano Galliani, who values the 30-year old nearer the £20million mark has turned the offer down flat, stating “I returned to sender, because we are not interested.”
Can’t say I’m exactly devastated at this piece of news.

Pirlo will join Chelsea and he’ll be the first suitable replacement for Alan Hudson we’ve had.
What do you mean ‘not devastated’? Presumably just like all of the other ‘anyone over 30 is too old’ brigade you can justify such a stupid comment! Pirlo is a year younger than Frank Lampard FFS! Via our own Sports Science dept I’d put a wager on the fact that Pirlo is no more than 25/26 years of age body fitness wise. He is the Captain of both both AC Milan and Italy and is a fantastically gifted player, which is why Ancelotti wants to bring him to Chelsea. The guy would offer us a certain ‘class’ and ‘experience’ from the back going forward which Chelsea do not at present possess. Mikel is a mere ‘trainee’ by comparison. Essien would be released to do his proper job and so would Lamps! A very shrewd buy ‘if’ we could get Pirlo and one that would make you ‘ageist’ brigade eat your words!
I really hope we don´t sign him, we need young players
Chelsea-Alan,
And just where would Chelsea play Pirlo? Take for instance your team plays a 4-1-2-1-2 (4-4-2 Diamond) what’s his position? At the base as the deepest of the four? one of the central 2? At the tip?
Let’s look at it logically. Your midfield 4 MUST have Essien, Lampard and Zhurkov (sp?). One is your midfield dynamo, the second is your talisman and the third is a new “first choice” signing. That means your 1 remaining spot right now is split between Cole, Mikel, Malouda and Ballack (have I missed anyone?). Or should Pirlo take Essien’s place?
I’ll tell you what, Chelsea takes Pirlo and you can give Man Untied Essien.
A problem for Italian players is that when they leave Italy, there place in the Italian team is under threat.
Think about it hard and you will this to be true.
Great player like Zola was ousted from the Italian team when he moved to Chelsea.
Babel = Henry?
Dos Santos = Messi?
Nani = Ronaldo?
