Kalou To Get Move Of His Dreams….To Arsenal?

Back in February, Salomon Kalou gave us a little bit of insight into his dreams and raised a few eyebrows with the revelation that when he closes his eyes at night, it’s Arsene Wenger he pictures.

Back in February, Kalou told us Every single player in the world dreams of playing for Arsene Wenger. He is a very great coach and I know that every single player in the world dreams of playing for him.  I have a lot of respect for him, he is one of the best coaches in the world.  Arsenal are achieving huge things and watching them play is beautiful.”

Now, it seems the Ivory Coast striker’s dreams could be realised, with the news that Arsenal have offered us £6million for him. The sticking point seems to be that Chelsea want £8million for the 23 year old, so it’s not a forgone conclusion yet but I’m sure Kalou has his fingers crossed.

Bloody ironic really when he actually looked good at the weekend!

  1. Yep, there not all in it for the money. Some of them appreciate footbal and have respect for knowledge, class and history. Don’t worry though there are still plenty of money grabbers to go round you and citeh.

  2. BTW, he is 24 tommorrow …

He says “Every single player in the world dreams of playing for Arsene Wenger. He is a very great coach and I know that every single player in the world dreams of playing for him. I have a lot of respect for him, he is one of the best coaches in the world. Arsenal are achieving huge things and watching them play is beautiful.”

So he cant be too stupid then

  3. is he not 23 yrs old coming on to 24 soon

  4. Not sure about this one from either side, apart from his wish to play Wengerball. £6m sounds about right, any more than that and Wenger will drop it.

  5. When I saw Chelsea play at Stoke last September I think Kalou played as a defensive midfielder. Maybe Wenger wants to convert him.

  6. i think kalou would be a great catch for us but i think wenger may not be willing meet chelseas asking price.fingers crossed

  7. kalou is only 24 so please correct the error, kalou is very good uf he is given playing time, but the problem he have is that he is not too physically strong,he can be effective for only 45minutes max on his field day,he shouldn’t be sold and chelsea is disgusting to its youngsters, with the likes of di santi, miroslav stoch, scott sinclair, kalou, and recently frank nouble.pheew! i am getting sick of my club the coaches and the scouts they are all lazy.

  8. Hes 23 so he is still young so he will cos mor than £6m and should cost more £8m. but i dont want to see him leave chelsea as i think he is good and i no if he moves to arsenal then he will become a brilliant player.

  9. Kalou is 24 tomorrow as he was born on 5/8/85.He has not progressed ,into the player we hoped he would
become. His favoured position is down the middle but
who would play him ahead of Drogba or Anelka. His
composure is not great and he misses a lot of chances on goal. There is something about him i like
and he could really develope to be special, but can Chelsea wait that long.

  10. At 23/24 Kalou is far too young for Chelsea, & way to Old for Arsenal!!!

  11. “At 23/24 Kalou is far too young for Chelsea, & way to Old for Arsenal!!!”

    Haha;-)

  12. One player I would not want to see go to Arsenal. Wenger will transform him into another Henry or something…I’ve always liked Kalou and hope he stays, but if he decides to go don’t let it be Arsenal.

  13. Another player wanting to move to a bigger club!! Seem like a pattern with your players well a few are too old to move on now
But not to worry I am sure than a over 30 player who is passed it will be bought for millions too much to replace Kalou.
Well at least Fergie thinks you will be pushing them for the EPL !!

  14. That’s alright then Sham, I know who I’d listen to if it was a choice between SAF’s opinion and yours.
BTW, what would you do if we did actually get rid of our over 30s and buy a few younger players, slag us off for spending money?

  15. Sham,
good to see your team coped admirably with Scotlands finest…only a friendly, but lays a marker for your plans and designs for the champions league, with Rangers being stalwarts of the champions league:-)

  16. Jockney
tell me how many times have Rangers won the CL??
Same as Chelsea and Man City then LOL!!!
Getting to the CL from a poor standard of football in Scotland not really matching the top 4 in EPL is it???
How far have a Scotish team got in the last 5 years in the CL?
Normally Rangers are 3 easy points in the CL maybe thats what you mean by Stalwarts of the champions league is it?

Chelsea D as your not really buying anybody is there money to spend????
Who is the big signing of the summer for ye??
Ahh well you still have the Free plastic flags!!!
Maybe a return to the plastic buckets collection to SAVE CHELSEA may not be that far off again???

  17. Sham,
tongue in cheek….You heard of that.
You do not need to give me the facts..I know them….You just keep on being negative for the entire season and we will point out when we are not serious….just so you feel a bit sillier!

  18. Tongue in Cheek
    What does that mean????

Jockney you have not answer my simple questions
Shall i dumb them down for you?
Rangers in CL = 3 easy points YES/No
and won fuck all or got too 1/4 finals FACTS
