Champions League: Chelsea Shorts

With Europe beckoning again, TheChelseaBlog has picked out a few of today’s relevant articles to get you all in a Champions League frame of mind.

Sport.co.uk runs a piece looking at the financial gains involved in the Champions League – especially if you’re Chelsea it would seem.

Whilst Vital Chelsea pose the question over which Champions League game caused the most pain – Moscow or Barcelona?

Speaking of the Barcelona game, Bridge Views has a really good article around Uefa supporting the inept Ovrebo.

But on a more positive note, Goal.com gives us Carlo Ancelotti’s opinion on our chances of getting to the final.

  1. im very interested in this match against porto. the colombian striker, Falcao, in particular is a youth i have followed for a while. he spent last year in argentina for river plate, and has fit in amazingly well in the first team plans for porto. i mentioned in a comment on this blog months ago that he was a very good talent and i wished the blues had picked him up. i would love to see him play for Chelsea one day, but in the meantime, CHLESEA FOREVER!

  2. In the last 2 seasons, we have been unable to win, 1st becoz of the John Terry slip, n 2ndly, becoz of Mr Public enemy number 1, Tom Henning Ovrebo. But in my opinion, the Moscow one was probably more hurtful than the Barca one, mostly becoz we were much closer then. Thing is even if we had beaten Barca, we might still not have won that final.
