Evra: More Important To Beat Chelsea Than Liverpool

With our game against Manchester United still a month away, it looks like Patrice Evra is already on a bit of a wind-up.

After our 2-0 win over Liverpool on Sunday, the United man reckons beating us is more important to him than beating Liverpool. Evra says “Chelsea away is the game I always want to win more than any other.  If we win there it sends out a message to all the top four.  There are other important games, such as we need to do well against Liverpool after losing 4-1 at home to them last season.  But if you ask me to choose one game, I’ll pick Chelsea away.”

So is it a grudge thing after his ruck with our groundsman? Or maybe he’s after a bit of retribution after Ballack’s alleged elbow on him in the Community Shield?  Nope, Evra says “I like playing Chelsea because it seems I get an assist every game.”

I guess we’ll just have to see about that then.
