The Real Culprit In Chelsea’s Defeat
I hate footballing superstitions.
You know what we’re like? we have to stick to our pre-match rituals because we just know the result depends upon it. Anyone who isn’t affected by the whole pre-game superstition thing won’t have a clue what I’m talking about here but for anyone who shares the ‘ritual’ affliction, you’ll know exactly why, as the final whistle got ever closer yesterday, I knew the equalizer wasn’t coming – and woeful defending aside – I also knew it was all my fault.
I remember having a conversation with an opposition blogger about this ritual of mine last season. His take on it was that I shouldn’t bother with it – probably because as I’d pointed out, whenever I hadn’t done it, we’d lost. Anyway, I gave it a bit of thought and even toyed with the idea of starting this season afresh but ultimately, you can’t just do that can you? I mean, it’s agony even considering the impact it would have, right?
So, that was that really, I knew at the start of the season there was no getting round it and the ritual had to continue – until yesterday morning that is. Not that it was a deliberate omission on my part obviously but due to unforeseen circumstances, I suddenly realised it was mid-morning, match-day, I hadn’t done it and what was worse was that these unforeseen circumstances meant it was too late for me to do anything about it either.
It was torture.
And with the game and the result confirming that, weird or not rituals just can’t be dismissed, here’s one supporter who won’t be making the same mistake again this season.
Apologies TCB.

Chelsea News 24/7

I always wear my Peter Osgood King of Stamford Bridge badge above the crest on my shirt. Have done for years and will continue to do so.
dont worry about it. Every team loses!
The real culprits are Peter Cech, Deco, Anelka, Malouda, Bosingwa, Calvalo, Lampard and Ancelotti. I have lost count on how many goals we have conceded through set piece, they say experience is the best teacher, but Chelsea seems to have missed out on this.
What I don’t understand is why Ancelloti did not make a change much earlier. We had Zirhkov and Joe Cole on the bench and he did not think of making a change until 85th minute. It was not working why not mix things up a bit. Carvalho is definitely out of it for me, Alex should come in, his performance was too half-hearted for me, which may explain Terry’s reaction. You know how you fume inside when you know who to blame and due to diplomacy or something you can’t talk. Essien, Bosingwa and Cech are also culprits and maybe its about time Hilario is given some chances afterall he performed quite well when called upon. WE ARE GETTING TOO PREDICTABLE. Ancelloti should mix things up a bit, give us some flavour and other managers some job of thinking about what or who we will play. Just my opinion.
