You’ve got to be delighted that LFC are out of the CL…………CFC have only once beaten them comprehensively (last season’s fixture at Anfield) and even then CFC almost bottled it!
What’s more, CFC have lost to LFC twice at the semi stages (both times against a team that was lagging way behind in the domestic league) and the only time CFC has graced the final itself was courtesy of an own goal and even then CFC screwed it up in the final. CFC know that the only way it can be considered a top football powerhouse is by winning the CL because based on fans, CFC is a poor brother both domestically and globally to MUFC, LFC and even AFC. In fact, there’s good reason to believe that CFC will never win the CL as it’s not their destiny (no new team has won the CL for over 12yrs). CFC are still a club that advertises its ticket allocation to ‘anyone’ who may wish to fill their stadium. The truth will come out eventually when the Russian becomes bored with his toy or the Kremlin decides to take it (or perhaps even him) away. CFC need to win the CL in the next 2/3yrs or they’ll start to drift into the abyss!………….ps: The domestic league is CFC’s now, it would be an even greater screw up if CFC did not win it this season.
