Well the tabloids really are delving as deep and as far into our players’ pasts as they can – but then the fact that our lads just can’t keep their dicks in their pants probably doesn’t help matters.

Whilst JT is taking a break to have a ‘Valentine’s’ reunion with the missus he’s so very publicly in love with all of a sudden, team-mate Ashley Cole could apparently be spending his Valentine’s day trying to stop Cheryl from smacking his fractured ankle with the frying pan – tut, tut.

Not that it’s any secret Ashley Cole’s been about as loyal to his missus as he was to Arsenal, because we’ve all read the stories, but you’d have thought after his last indiscretion he might have been a little more cautious (where his marriage was concerned anyway). Apparently not though, because despite just about clinging on to the lovely Cheryl last time, Ashley Cole not only sent naked pictures of himself to some ‘glamour model’, he also made the mistake of leaving the evidence on his phone when he gave it away to a ‘mate’.

So, we’re told the Chelsea left-back now has the job of explaining how the pictures ended up on some blonde’s phone last June if it wasn’t him that sent them.
