FA Cup 6th Round Draw: Please Let It Be Stoke
Posted on February 15th, 2010 by Chelsea D

So, the 6th round of the FA Cup has been drawn and sees us face either Stoke or Team Bridge. Personally I’d prefer Stoke because I don’t think any of us could stand the circus coming to town for a quarter final against City.
6th Round Draw In Full:
Chelsea v Manchester City or Stoke City
Fulham v Bolton Wanderers or Tottenham Hotspur
Reading or West Bromwich Albion v Crystal Palace or Aston Villa
Portsmouth v Birmingham City

Yeah, that and we owe Stoke for being a thorn in our side in the early 70s. On the other hand, as our manager refuses to recognise (or do much about the fact that) we have problems defending from set-pieces, they might give us more trouble than massive-club-with-28,000-fans Citeh
Whoever it is, please do not let J Cole play, he was dreadful on Saturday and fully deserved to be hauled off. £100k + a week?, he must be joking.
Yes, Citeh only have 28,000 fans????? Has Brett not looked at the figures for average attendances this season? I could have sworn City average around the mid 40s. Must be difficult for other clubs and their fans to admit that City fans are amongst the most loyal in the world when you see the gates we’ve commanded throughout all these trophy-less years. Even when we were in the third tier we sold out every week and had thousands more applications for tickets. Is there another club that could do the same? Newcastle and Leeds didn’t do it back then, and come to think of it neither did Spurs when they went down all those years ago. The only reason Newcastle can do it now in the championship is because they had a three year deal on season tickets whereby you purchase a ticket for three seasons and get big discounts and that’s why they still turn up – because they’ve already bought a ticket well in advance. I wonder if Liverpool or United could bring such loyalty as City have done? One thing is for sure…….Chelski could NOT. Thank you and goodnight. CTID
