    The red is from their jerseys in the 80′s and early 90′s. I don’t think Chelsea adopted the yellow until late 90′s.

    Personally I love the jersey, really nice. Love the small red trim at the bottom of the shorts as well.

    I dont like the red personally but for people asking why is their red?… this isnt the first time int the past there has been red up to three times but in little detail, showing chelsea over the last 50 years has had almost every kit colour there is on their kit.

    According to the club’s website, the red is in honor of the Pensioners, the army group the club adopted the nickname of from WWI, who wore red.

    i think the red’s a nice touch and it is in recognition of the Pensioners (as Tom R said) so i like it. Personally i think this is the best kit adidas have made for chelsea.
