Chelsea Transfer Talk
Our current players might still have a couple of games to focus on before this season is over but the press are already firmly focused on who next season’s players might be – with maybe some stories more welcome than others.
For a start, we’ve been linked with Carlos Tevez. The 26 year old is rumoured to like Mancini about as much as I do, prompting reports yet another move could be on the cards for the Argentinean. So, because Ancelotti may have mentioned liking him in the past, it’s par for the course he’d be linked with us.
Before he went to City, I’d have jumped at the chance of bringing him to Stamford Bridge and I’m not suggesting 29 goals in 37 starts doesn’t mark him out as a pretty useful tool to have in your kit but the move to Eastlands has shown him up to be a classless little cretin and like our captain, I’m not sure I’d buy him swapping his ‘Team Bridge’ t-shirt for a ‘Team Terry’ one really.
A slightly more appealing prospect – and prettier on the eye – is Fernando Torres, and the latest rumours have us actually in ‘preliminary discussions’ for the Spaniard. Ok, so he may well have signed a four-year deal for Liverpool last year, with Rafa valuing him at £70million – in a ‘hands off’ gesture – but the word is that Roman would actually be prepared to shell out that amount if it means nipping in ahead of Man City. And with Liverpool (and possibly City as well) not playing in next season’s Champions League, Torres will inevitably also be rumoured to want the move.
Needless to say, when it comes to transfer rumours and Carlo Ancelotti, his former club is bound to crop up again as well – as is Alexandre Pato. Ancelotti brought both Pato and Thiago Silva to Milan and is reported to have approached Abramovich for the necessary funds for a reunion. Pato would apparently cost around €60m with a further €20m needed for Thiago Silva. Obviously the money wouldn’t go amiss given Milan’s financial situation although whether Roman Abramovich is as keen on a return to bankrolling us as the press would apparently like him to be, is another matter.

Chelsea News 24/7

don’t fancy tevez much. Torres would be ace, but not for $70m that’s crazy money. I’d rather we invested $70m on developing the youth setup. we need young players, badly.
Not so sure about Tevez but Torres, by all means pls. By the way, we need to let go of some players but we don’t need to get players in and out season in, season out. They need time to gel over time.
$70m on youth development?? Why? Did we not just win the fa youth cup? Though I do agree with you that 70m is grotesque for torres who has been injured most of the season.
we are better off without tevez rat!
we really need to spend some money at the summer and buy some big players. likes of torres, aguero, pato, ribery, and angel di maria
yes i would sign fannando about 80
Hi think Torres would be a good signing for us to pay 70M For a player who seems to be on the treatment table more than the pitch would not be good business, I would go for Pato, Eugero and even try and get Kaka Again because i have not seen him play much in spain, does he play or has he been injured or out of the clubs plans
going 4 torres with dat amount is reduculus, ples we should consider other things dat have to b done with money
MattsMash?
I went to the youth cup final last night. Trust me, we do not need that many young players. We have an abundance of very good and in some cases, sensational, young kids coming through.
Clifford, Sala, Bruma, Tore to name just a few.
And the reserves too – Kakuta, Borini, Van Anholt, Matic, Hutchison are all looking worthy of a squad place next year.
I say get a couple of big star players in and mix them with our promising youngsters.
I believe the Pato/Thiago Silva story could be true but ‘if’ it is what does that say about Roman’s feelings on John Terry’s escapades this season? Without doubt Alex has been our best central defender this season and Thiago Silva is NOT a bench player. Could Chelsea have two Brazilians as fist choice central defenders next season? We as fans never know what is going on behind the scenes but could it be that Jose is off to Real Madrid and wants to ‘beef up’ their defence with players like Terry and Ashley Cole? Two players not exactly in Ambramovich’s good books for dragging the clubs name through the mud this term. I thought I would come up with this ‘story’ before the papers think of it!
I don’t think Torres is worth 70M.Torres won’t be a good signing for us If Roman is willing to pay that much amount, then we should look to bring in the Argentine pair , (Aguero & Di Maria).we need six signings
1. Aguero
2. Lukaku
3. Di Maria
4. Jack Rodwell
5. Subotic
6. Phil Jones
All the above guys are very young…we don’t have to look anything for atleast 5 years coming
And on the Pato / Thiago Silva story. I dont think Pato has done justice to his talent , so ,we cannot gamble on him & Thiago Silva seems to be unconvincing to me ,he is not that physically strong enough to play in the premiership.
But anyways we don’t have that bloody player, who can sit in the center of the midfield create chances on his own for the attackers. just like Xavi , Iniesta , Fabregas , Scholes, Deco.I think we should find someone of that type atleast 75 %of that sort.
And the best thing apart from the above mentioned players
Aguero , Lukaku , Di Maria , Jack Rodwell , Subotic ,Phil Jones.
I don’t think we need anyone. or maybe one markee signing i.e Kaka. thats it. nothing else , we already have it in our reserves . Stoch , Kakuta , Borini , Hutchinson , Bruma ,
Van Anholt , & Matic . I think the kids are ready to fire for us. Great talent coming through .
Wouldn’t want that vile mercenary Tevez anywhere near Stamford Bridge.
Torres, good player not worth £70m and way too injury prone for that amount. Not sure he would move to another English club either. I take that rumour with a pinch of salt.
As for Pato and Thaigo Silva, well it’s just typical lazy journalism linking AC Milan men with Ancelotti. We don’t need another centre half while Pato has had a poor, injury hit season in Serie A.
I Sergio Aguero is a far more likely transfer option. A good, hungry young striker in the Zola-mould who clearly sounds interested in moving here.
id love to see torres at chelsea but not for 70 mil also like tevez for his work rate and goals but think nik anelka should be moved on to make way for aguero pato etc also think we need another central defender lets keep the blue flag flying high
We need one class midfielder and striker that are ready to be put in fire. I would definitely go with torres here, but with drogba in such form and with 70 mil. tag on him, it seems pretty rubbish. Well, aguero is the other side of the coin because he’s able to play SS, ST and winger, he is “must have” this summer.
Considering a class midfielder i mean a 25-27 y.o. player who can immediately replace ballack and/or deco, player of great technique. I’ve seen some of you have considered Kaka but I think he wont be leaving real so soon. Van der vaart could come for pretty small amount of money.
Now, we’re pretty desperate for some younger players: LUKAKU definitely! With tag “next drogba” and our play based on drogba this 5 years he would be just there when drogba could not play whole game anymore.
JACK RODWELL would also be a perfect sining for about 15 mil, great investment in future.
Maybe it’s just me but I do not see DI MARIA in our squad next year because of malouda’s mad season and our STOCH comming as a champion from TWENTE with 10 goals and few assists
I think we have a lot of talent in our own youth system. I say we give them a chance for the first half of the season and find out what they are really made up of? In January if we feel that there is a need to buy some players lets do so. But until then its better to go with what we have. The only replacement I would be looking for is Ballack that if we must go ahead and buy. Kaka would be great at this I guess. And Aguero would be a good signing too only because of his age. Other than these two I don’t think we need any other player to be bought.
i’d love us doing the double this year, it would take alot of the pressure of us, and would give us the luxury of blooding some of our talent next season. I’m certain, that given a regular place players like Hutchinsson, Stoch, Kakuta and Sturridge, would become as good as anyone we can buy.
Aguero is most important ..ok!!!
chelsea must bring AGUERO to Stamford Bridge!!!!!!!!!
I think we need to let a few of the older players go (Ballack and Deco namely, but also possibly Anelka and Carvalho), resign Joe Cole, pick up a few new signings, and start mixing the young players into the first team. Speaking of which, why hasn’t anyone mentioned Mancienne as one of our up and coming young players? As far as new players go, has anyone else seen the report that Aguero is a done deal at 40 million? I think Aguero would be a great signing. I would love to see David Villa at Chelsea – too bad that won’t happen. After a striker, I think we need a central playmaking midfielder in the Xavi mold – perhaps David Silva (who is only 24) – and that’s about it. Of course I would never turn down Ribery!
All we need is Stephen Ireland
chelsea will need to buy three internationals.
most likely they will sign.. sergio augero from atletico madrid, phillepe mexes from As roma, rafel vandervaart from real madrid.
chelsea would also sign jack rodwell from everton and loan him back to them.
leaving….
belleti, hilario,carvalho, deco, ferreria,joe cole
promoted guys
kakuta, matic, huctionson, bruma, van anholt, stoch
chelsea will not buy overpriced players like torres, di maria,
they will look for rough and tough players….. thats where they fell behind inter in champions league
signing only young guys…………………………….. chelsea are not arsenal……………………..if they do that………………. no champions league…………………
chelsea should include some under 18 players from hoshiarpur, punjab(india). guys here are really strong and football is very popular. this would help chelsea enter a market that is very big and help them edge out Damn United…. who r very popular here.
i belive the young one can go a longway for the club it’s of now use for the club to be spending such money on torres, but kakuta and sturridge is there let give them more playing time so that will can have strong team next season. bye for now UP CHEALSEA 4 LIFE
@mandeep singh: LOLZ
what’s wrong with tevez ??(i saw a few strange unjustified comments here); i think he works hard on the pitch, reliable, technical, very gifted, powerful, a fighter; chelsea needs a bit of technical spark, for example for proper free kicks and penetration with the ball: aguero, tevez;
another problem, drogba does not like the competition, he might go into moods if other two good strikers were there; when chelsea was super as a team, drogba was not; when drogba played well – 2 years ago – the team was not, out of the sync;
my final go is for (YES): aguero, tevez, why not right wing robben? david silva;
definetely not: pato (never impressed me, who is he?), ribbery (let down this CL), torres (not strong enough, i feel he is made of china porcelain);
70 million for torres..??no torres pls..better get Pato or aguero,Dani Alves and van der vaart..offer joe cole a new contract..keep ballack,sell carvalho,belleti,anelka,deco..give young players the opportunity to mix with the experienced players..
lineup:
Cech(GK),Alves(RWB),Terry & Alex(CB),A.Cole(LWB),Joe cole(RWM),Lampard & Van der vaart(CAM),Malouda(LM),Pato,Aguero or Drogba(ST).
Subs:
Turnbull(GK)Ivanovic,Bosingwa(DF),Essien,Mikel,Zhirkov,Matic,Ballack,Manciene,Kakuta(MF),kalou
Blue 4ever…!!!!!
