Didier Drogba may well have just had surgery on that nagging groin injury of his but he must still be attracting his fair share of interest this summer.

Just a week after ‘a spokesman’ issued a ‘hands off’ statement in the press, Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay has reiterated the point by telling Sky Sports “Didier Drogba will be a Chelsea player next year. Didier is under contract. The thing about this time of year is we always get this. For our players to be in the news – it’s normal. But Didier Drogba will be a Chelsea player next year.”

Seems pretty clear to me, which, considering Torres looks off our radar now, is the sort of reassurance we need.
