So, Torres Does Want To Join Chelsea After All
After celebrating winning the World Cup, Barcelona players have seemingly been on a mission to unsettle Cesc Fabregas and help him realise his dream of returning to his boyhood club.
It seems as though they’re not content with just dislodging Fabregas though, with David Villa today revealing that Fernando Torres lead him to believe that he would be leaving Liverpool this summer for Chelsea.
“I am actually a little surprised. It looks like Nando is staying,” Villa said.
“After I spoke with him at the World Cup I thought he would sign for Chelsea.
“I think it must only be that Chelsea did not meet Liverpool’s valuation. Because, if they had, I am sure he would have made the move.
“This is Liverpool’s last chance to keep him. They have to prove they are capable of challenging on all fronts this season, otherwise he will be gone.
“If Liverpool fail to win anything I am sure he will be at Chelsea next summer.”
Torres had a disappointing World Cup but there’s no denying his talent, even if we would have to turn a blind eye to his petulance. Since joining Liverpool in 2007, Torres hasn’t won a thing, whilst in the same time Chelsea have won the Premiership title and two FA Cups. He turns 27-years-old this season and shouldn’t be content with any more mediocrity. So, if it’s not this summer, maybe we should be planning to see Torres replacing Didier Drogba at the end of the season?

Torres is a great striker when fit. We should look towards buying someone like Barry Hayles, yes he’s old but has bags of expeirence, is big and burly, and would relish the chance in the top flight again. Also very cheap, something Torres is not. Go for Hayles!
Sign him and Ozil up and we will have a complete squad.

(Chelsea fan) It would be really nice to see Torres signs for us(Chelsea). But at the same time we are very good in attack and even without Torres we managed to score more than a 100 goals. I think what we need is an attacking mid-fielder. Although we have Lampard, i think we need someone slightly younger; eg: Ozil.

Barry Hayles should go to Liverpool to replace Torres when he eventually gets bored of winning nothing. If Cole and Carvalho want to win the champions league they,d better stay at Chelsea with Ancellotti in charge its just a matter of time

I think signing torres will be good but we must check his injury records first so that we would not regret in near future.ozil,ramires,aguero,suarez will be nice if we pick any of them.Ancelloti is always good in coaching brazilians most.

Im sensing some anger from Sean. Maybe he knows his team will win fuck all this season. Why do supporters of other teams post on a Chelsea blog especially when they have no positive input to give? And man city are spending more than we did but unfortunately for them are not attracting the quality of players that we did or even the quality of manager.
You do realise the Champions league final is at Wembley this year with three London based teams in the group stages. I would not rule out either Chelsea or Arsenal winning the champions league this year. We did,nt do the double with Mourihno with and all the players you mention being under 30 but with Ancellotti we did. Watch this space

Chelsea should get torres,we need a strong striker to pair with drogba,if ozil dosnt want to come,lenon of tottenham is a good target for chelsea so that we can be attacking both sides and centre, last season it was just on the left with cole and malouda,ballack didnt make good attacking bites from the right because his got no dribble speed.so carlo should get lenon

STEVE,we have a good squad bt need torres or aguero to partner drogba.anelka is a waste of money.
We need to do some restructuring with the team for sure but Ancellotti has already said no Aguero. The rumour is that Ramires is on his way to Chelsea. There is a hint about it on Benficas official website its in portuguese so you need to get the page translated. If we could get a decent striker as well I think we will be sorted. Anelka is useful he will always score against lesser premiership teams. He did well when we lost Drogba to ANC and links well with Malouda.
anelka creates space for drogba … realistically i cant see us going for torres but its clear he wants to come …. sessengnon of psg or ozil should b considered …. have we lost our friend sean ??? CLOWN !!!!!
