Redknapp Doing Whatever It Takes To Keep Modric?

Spurs were shite last night. Not exactly a headline, they’re always shite at OT anyway but they really had very little to offer in response to United’s attack – so they didn’t bother. Clearly they missed the presence of Luka Modric but would the wantaway midfielder care whether he played for them again or not?

That’s a difficult question to answer maybe, although Harry Redknapp seems to be suggesting he won’t get away with sitting out any more of their games irrespective of where his head might be. In fact, it looks as if the Spurs manager will make sure he puts a spanner in the works of any potential last minute deals in the transfer window – by promising to bring in players and making sure Modric is cup-tied.

Redknapp says “I don’t think he’s played his last game for us.  I want him to play for us against Manchester City on Sunday, he’s a good player and we need him out there for us. We’ve got Hearts on Thursday too and I’d love to get a game into him.  I can see Chelsea continuing to chase Luka but we really want to keep him and we hope we can add one or two players to our squad to make us stronger.”

Whatever it takes eh Harry?
