Essien Update

Remember when we used to have some bloke called Michael Essien playing for us? I know, I know, you’ll have to cast your mind back a bit, it’s been a while!

Well, the news on our missing midfielder is that he’ll be home for Christmas – or at least the expectation is that he’ll be ready to play again then anyway.  Despite the initial prognosis being a return in May, Andre Villas-Boas has stated “Michael is working hard to come back and he should be back by Christmas.”

The player himself meanwhile, has had a bit of a supportive scribble on his blog in view of our recent form and says “Every player crosses the white line and always wants to give his all so to come away with such a big loss is always hard to take.  I have been in the Premier League over six years and I can’t remember seeing such heavy defeats suffered by the top clubs in the league.  It is unheard of to have one of these clubs suffer such a big defeat throughout the season, let alone all of us suffering these defeats within the first 10 games.  You almost want to play another game as soon as possible to get it out of your system and I can assure all Chelsea fans that we will be back to winning ways in the league soon.”

TheChelseaBlog.org is an honest insight to the World of Chelsea FC. Not always pretty, sometimes rather cynical, but always realistic.
